Filamentous fungi isolated from Tunisian olive mill wastes: use of solid-state fermentation for enzyme production

Olive mill wastewaters and olive cake are effluents generated during oil production process. They represent a major disposal potentially severe pollution problem for the industry, also promising source of substances high value. The aim this study is valorization wastes (OMWW, cake, twigs leaves) to produce enzymes with industrial biotechnological potential, by solid-state fermentation technique (SSF), from isolated fungi present in wastewater cake. A total 47 strains were purified these two residues. metabolic potential was testing hydrolytic activities lipase, protease, amylase, cellulase, invertase, phytase tannase on agar plate media containing different substrate. monitoring SSF has shown that activity extremely rapid using technique. Our collection contains diversity capable producing variety interest.
